LED Upgrade Prestige Ice Arena, Town of Clifton Park
Purpose
The Town of Clifton Park seeks to take advantage of advances in LED lighting as well as potential incentives designed to reduce upfront costs of acquisition and installation of LED lighting within its ice facility, to substantially reduce longer term lifecycle maintenance costs such as bulb and ballast replacement for the existing lighting.
RFP Summary
The Town of Clifton Park seeks qualified proposers to inventory the interior lighting fixtures and connections at the Town’s Ice Arena, and to develop a proposal to upgrade interior lighting to LED fixtures and provide a detailed specification proposal , and to execute the proposal by acquiring and installing LED lighting throughout the facility. The project should be designed and implemented to provide effective interior lighting to improve the visitor experience and reduce energy consumption at the site.
Proposers are expected to explore all incentives for LED upgrades at National Grid, NYSERDA, and other potential services, and to design the upgraded inventory to maximize total savings to the Town from project based incentives and energy efficiencies.
Beyond lowering operating costs for the Town, the Town seeks opportunities to re-assess the lighting system throughout the building to optimize non-LED systems to provide better quality lighting to meet the uses of the spaces.
