RIoT earned a grant from US Ignite and Facebook to host an AR Developer Challenge to find and support AR solutions for accessibility and inclusion, economic impact, and workforce development in the Raleigh-Cary region. These are the top moments of their final pitch event held in late July 2021. 

Here are a few examples of how our Project OVERCOME communities are proactively engaging their residents ahead of deploying their tech solutions for connecting the unconnected.

In June, Blue River hosted the McKenzie International event, a track meet for athletes competing to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. To enable the livestream pay-per-view of the event, project OVERCOME partners utilized CBRS to bring Internet connectivity to McKenzie Track for the very first time.

Shift created training programs that allow healthcare professionals to practice with new sanitization standards and patient interaction protocol in a two- and three-dimensional training environment.
