US Ignite is proud to announce the latest alums of our sponsored Kauffman FastTractraining, offered to some of the most promising application development teams from our Smart Gigabit Communities (SGC) program. This is the third cohort of teams to have taken on the FastTrac curriculum that helps teams hone their business or service concept, and prepare themselves for sustainability and to scale.
The smart city movement is fueled by the innovation and investments made in advanced technologies and infrastructure, but growth and sustainability are a function of hard won professional and business skills. US Ignite is committed to helping teams within our 27+ Smart Gigabit Communities develop practical and sustainable practices to create amazing success stories in each of our partner communities. The Kauffman FastTrac training is just one of the ways we help provide support along a spectrum of activities designed to identify, foster, connect, and promote teams with solutions to the most vexing problems facing smart cities.
This cohort joins the ranks of over fifteen previous teams, many of whom have gone on to great success with their smart city solutions. Each of the previous annual sessions have been conducted by certified trainer, Randal Olson, of Strategem LLC.
The 2018 cohort includes:
Atomo (Raleigh, NC) – Developer of a novel toolset to build interactive augmented reality environments for commerce and education.
Augmented Training System (Austin TX) – The team behind the SGC application Just-in-time VR Training for Ambus EMS. ATS builds custom, human-centered Augmented and Virtual Reality training simulators for equipment and processes that are otherwise cost-prohibitive or too dangerous in the real world.
Plano Intelligence (Richardson, TX) – The developers of iNotify, an artificial intelligence (AI) system that detects wielded guns in prohibited areas and sends notifications to vulnerable individuals and authorities. You can hear more about iNotify and the team in their recent news interview with NBCDFW.
SAASCharge, (Raleigh, NC) – SAASCharge is a suite of software services to manage commercial charging services for electric vehicles. The innovative part of the platform is an eRoaming solution to interconnect charging station networks together so that electric vehicle drivers can charge anywhere with only one subscription service.
Virtual Training Solutions (Eugene/Springfield, OR) – Developers of Educational Equity VR, an immersive virtual reality training that helps teachers recognize and mitigate the effects of implicit bias in the classroom.
Congratulations to each of the teams and their sponsoring communities.
