Update: 5/1/2020: Answers to posted questions received are publicly available here.
US Ignite and Sensis are seeking proposals from technology partners to create both simulated IoT data streams and an appliance that can serve as a broker for that simulated data. The objective of this request for proposal is to support contestants participating in the CHARIoT Challenge issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Challenge competitors are developing Augmented Reality devices to support First Responders in emergency situations.
The RFP goals include:
- Creation of JSON-based simulated IoT data for an array of predefined device types to support the challenge scenario narratives.
- Delivery of the simulated IoT data in a repeatable way during live challenge exercises to support teams competing in the event.
- Support and advice for event staff to properly run and administer the IoT Data Broker and reset it during each event run.
