Today we join the National Science Foundation, as well as a consortium of 28 networking companies, in celebrating the recipients of the Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) program’s first-ever award selection process. It gives us great pleasure to announce that two research platforms, to be based in Salt Lake City and New York City, will be developed and deployed thanks to support from NSF and our industry partners. These testbeds promise to yield massive breakthroughs in wireless technology ensuring U.S. leadership in this field for decades to come.

Seeking Platforms for Advanced Wireless Engineering Consultant(s)

LEARN MORE HERE US Ignite seeks a consultant arrangement for its Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) program. The consultant(s) will provide project management, engineering, construction, and deployment advice and services related to the deployment of up to four wireless testbed networks in cities across the United States.US Ignite is soliciting submissions from all interested parties, including consulting firms or other professionals, for a three-month contract, with the potential for contract extensions up to three years. This consulting arrangement is an opportunity to be part of a team of smart and energetic people who are helping to shape the future of the Internet and the way Americans across the country will experience their work and day to day lives. WASHINGTON, DC – Today, US Ignite, Inc. announced that it will co-host and sponsor series of Smart Gigabit Communities (SGC) Reverse Pitch Competitions – competitions that are focused on empowering local change makers to ideate and develop innovative gigabit applications. US Ignite is a nonprofit that spurs the creation of next-generation applications and services that leverage advanced networking technologies to build the foundation for smart communities. Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), US Ignite’s Smart Gigabit Communities program is creating “living lab” environments for the next generation of gigabit applications.
