The CitySDK is a collaboration between the US Census Bureau, the Department of Commerce, HUD, USDA, and other agencies in the federal government. The goal is to support civic innovation (through the efforts like Code for America) and streamline the development of applications that use open data. It was originally created in a 12-week sprint, to help the US Census Bureau launch its first ever open source project.
