Touchable Earth is the first app where kids teach kids about the world. It promotes tolerance for gender, culture, and identity.
The project has four pillars. 1. Taught by kids as a peer learning resource. 2. Elementary age which is the optimal age for nourishing curiosity about the world. 3. Promoting gender equality through equal participation in the program 4. Inclusivity by recognizing cultures and places rather than exclusively ‘nation states’. It challenges young learners to seek better definitions of ‘diversity’, to ask better questions and give better answers. Touchable Earth is created with the assistance of iearn.org and in partnership with UNESCO Dakar Office.
